October 2019

Hello Families,

As you are probably aware I was away Friday and today as I have been quite sick. Good old back to school germs.  Both guest teachers commented on how great the kids all were! 🎉😁GOOD JOB CLASS!!!

Thank you all for your book orders I will place the order this evening. 📚📙📘📗📕📖

WE SCARE HUNGER starts tomorrow! 👻👹👻👹👻👹👻👹

There is a school council meeting this Thursday October 3rd at 6:00pm.

No School for students October 11 and October 14. 🦃

Home Reading:
Please try to read every night for 5 - 10 minutes. I remind students every morning to change their books, however if they want to keep it for a few days that works as well.

Math:
In math we will be moving into patterning and will continue with skip counting. Patterns are a great concept to practice at home with blocks, colours, buttons, beads, really anything you may have around the house. The students have already been able to identify the 'core' in a few patterns explored last week.

Please see the following outcomes for an idea of what we will be learning in Grade two.
